How to choose the right door protection strips
Door protection strips protect high-stress areas of vehicle doors from light bumps, scratches, and everyday parking damage. To ensure the strips fit perfectly and hold reliably, the vehicle model, production year, body style, and mounting position must match exactly.

Which door protection strips fit my vehicle?
It is not just the car make that is decisive. Check the full model designation, the production year or period, and the number of doors. For facelifted vehicles, the shape and length of the door panels may change. Therefore, always compare the information in the product title and description with your vehicle before purchasing.
ABS plastic or stainless steel?
ABS plastic
Dimensionally stable ABS strips are particularly suitable for robust, discreet side protection. Black or matte versions harmonize well with wheel arch extensions and other plastic add-on parts.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel strips combine protection with a visible decorative effect. They are particularly well-suited for vehicles with chrome or stainless steel accents.

Just door strips or a complete protection set?
A standard door strip set protects and styles the side surfaces of the doors. For vehicles like the Dacia Duster, combined sets including wheel arch protection and door protection are also available. These create a consistent look from the front to the rear wheel arch. For such sets, pay attention to whether the design includes cutouts for parking sensors.

Installation without drilling
Most vehicle-specific door protection strips are applied with pre-applied, strong adhesive tape. Clean and degrease the mounting surface thoroughly. Position the items first without removing the protective film. Install the strips in dry weather and, if possible, at a moderate temperature. After sticking them on, press down evenly and allow the adhesive bond to set sufficiently.
Care and durability
Use mild car care products and a soft cloth for cleaning. Aggressive solvents or abrasive sponges can damage the surface. Especially after installation, check that all edges are lying flush.
Frequently asked questions
Can I install the strips myself?
Yes. With clean preparation and correct alignment, installation is generally possible without special tools.
Do universal strips fit just as well?
Vehicle-specific strips are tailored to the contour, length, and door profile of the specified model and therefore usually offer a more harmonious fit.
Do door strips protect against all damage?
They reduce the risk of minor contact, scratch, and parking damage in the covered area. They cannot guarantee complete protection against heavy impacts.
